    Engine Connect is our customer data service that integrates and centralizes three types of data sources; client data, Engine proprietary data and third party data from the industry’s leading providers.  We use Connect to inform strategy, creative / content and distribution solutions for our clients.  The platform ingests customer data and provides a rich 360 degree view of the customer and is used in real time to enhance rich insights.

    Connect not only tracks what customers believe, through our research and strategy capabilities, but also integrates this with behavioral data which helps us understand how customers behave in a digital world through analyzing browsing activity, online content consumption, ad impression data, purchase behavior, and more.

    Role

    Engine Insights is seeking an entrepreneurial game-changer to lead, position and market Connect in the market place.

    The ideal candidate is a risk taker, with a willingness to break things, a builder, and an executive to further drive our entrepreneurial spirit forward, in the face of what the future holds. He/she will be an inspiring and a galvanizing leader, and will have strong motivational, strategic, and management skills. He/she will work closely with the Engine executive team to build and grow the Connect platform.  

    The SVP Connect will report to our Insights CEO to drive the Connect platform into the market place. The goal is to evolve the Connect platform and drive business to capitalize on the opportunity that differentiates us in the industry.

    Responsibilities

    • Report into the CEO of Engine Insights to lead the evolution of Connect including business strategy, objectives, structure and business development.  
    • As Connect is part of the Insights practice of Engine. As a key pillar of the business, responsibilities include supporting and partnering with the other Engine practices to implement Connect, develop business strategy and drive overall growth.
    • Introduce Connect to existing and new clients who are in need of this type of service and develop a data strategy for clients based on the client’s needs 
    • Provide solutions and recommendations to clients as it relates to Connect.
    • Provide subject matter expertise to differentiate and advance Connect on a global basis. 
    • Manage Connects financial performance, creating annual operating budgets and managing to budget expectations.
    • Contribute to a passionate, learning culture where change and transformation are supported through knowledge exchange, an entrepreneurial spirit, the application of technology platforms and systems
    • Function as a key member of the Engine Insights executive team, playing the lead role in marketing and sales for the Connect platform
    • Maintain a strong understanding of competitive intelligence to support the differentiation of Engine Insights Connect service versus similar capabilities. 
    • Develop, refine and execute short and long-term a strategic transformation plan.
    • Provide executive leadership in identifying, analyzing, and qualifying new client opportunities; develop metrics or benchmarks for measuring business success.
    • Continually analyze, evaluate, plan and execute on both existing and potential marketing tactics and strategies for Connect.
    • Inspire, lead, motivate and manage this entrepreneurial solution and any employees
    • Constantly reinforce and establish relationships at the most senior level of current and potential clients
    • Develop strategy to enhance industry awareness and buzz around Connect product offerings.

    Qualifications

    • Prior experience transforming a business, developing new monetization models, and innovative product offerings
    • Have a strong understanding of customer data and data solutions.
    • Exceptional leadership, entrepreneurial spirit and operational management skills with a track record of scaling a product or platform.
    • Highly articulate leader with the executive presence, confidence and credibility to serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internally to the CEO
    • Adept in talent development and people management, focused on career development for his/her team
    • Track record of successfully managing financial performance, creating annual operating budgets and managing to those budgets
    • Natural leadership abilities and a high level of energy and resilience; able to bring others along in the face of change and growth
