An exciting opportunity exists to join one of the fastest-growing teams within ORC International, selling Digital Hives and Online Communities. Our team offers clients across every industry, vertical and geography online, private social networks that harness the power of human connection and shared storytelling to find an insight or solve a business challenge, fast and agilely. The Manager, Business Development position is responsible for identifying key contacts and decision makers within prospect organizations, building strategic relationships, and selling ORC’s Digital Hives and Online Communities in response to the business challenges they are facing. Working closely with the Senior Vice President and Digital Hives delivery team, you will develop help craft new ORC branded products, design compelling proposals and pitches, as well as maintain ongoing client relationships.



  • Identify new business opportunities and present relevant, innovative Digital Hives and Online Communities solutions to address the needs of market research, marketing, and brand stakeholders within both client and prospect organization
  • Direct and manage business development pitches for new clients of business, respond to RFIs and RFPs, see pitches through to successful conclusion
  • Front-line liaison between client/ prospect organizations and internal teams
  • Identify new areas in the market where there is potential for business growth and new Hives products
  • Maintain a healthy, steady pipeline of new business opportunities, and provide accurate sales forecasts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Ensure the people, products, and services presented to the client are relevant and provide a competitive difference; work with the Senior Vice President to continue to evolve, articulate and present the value proposition of Digital Hives and Online Communities in the evolving marketplace
  • Develop and present sales materials and presentations to generate interest in ORC’s Digital Hives and Online Communities solutions
  • Attend industry conferences and networking opportunities, as beneficial to the agency.
  • Understanding client business issues very well, asking questions to determine how we can add to their knowledge base and not duplicate what they already know, and deliver information that moves their business forward, including helping design Digital Hives products that can be sold “off-the-shelf” to solve for these emerging marketplace needs
  • Maintain knowledge of MROC (market research online community) competitive landscape
  • Contribute to the development of annual marketing plan and sales goals


  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2-4 years of experience in an account manager/ solution sales business development role
  • Brings a strong network of client contacts
  • CRM knowledge and expertise

Nice to Have:

  • Experience selling online solutions, MROC, social media applications into organizations, agencies and brands
  • Experience of working within a primary market research and/ or professional services environment
  • Deep understanding of the social media space and market research online communities preferred
