ORC is seeking an Insights Writer for Cassandra (www.cassandra.co). This position supports the creation of editorial content for the Cassandra Report and supports in the creation of Cassandra Daily and Cassandra Minute. This job requires coming up with ideas and finding examples for the Insights team to support quantitative and qualitative survey development, organizing and moderating focus groups, and disseminating youth expertise and marketplace examples to the Brand Strategy Team.

Cassandra Report ideation and writing:

  • Researches and writes about trends among young consumers
  • Researches marketplace and advertising examples of trends in action

-      Brainstorms report topics with the team

  • Works with Research Director and the team to write quantitative and qualitative survey questions
  • Observes in-person focus groups


Cassandra Daily ideation and creation:

  • Researches topics for daily trend-focused emails
  • Writes one trend-focused email blast per week


Cassandra Minute:

  • Identifies content for timely email blasts for clients related to Cassandra trends and insights



  • Work with client services team to identify trends and insights applicable to client businesses for presentations
  • Pull quotes and stats from Cassandra research for press stories

Assist in client-facing events




  • 4-year college degree
  • Active in youth culture and trends

-      Passion for marketing, advertising & branding

-      Interest in research and data analysis

  • Strong, proven writing skills



  • Interest generational characteristics and differences among Baby Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y, and Gen Z
  • Passionate about developing trends among youth of diverse backgrounds
  • Interest in UK or Chinese youth culture
