Based at our Great Portland Street HQ, the Employee Engagement Consultant in the Employee Research team is responsible for delivering strategic insight, advisory and consulting support to clients and driving forward the ORC approach to insight and consulting.

This is a great opportunity to work with a wide range of well-known UK and international brands to help them on their journey to becoming winning workplaces. Working within a matrix structure the Employee Engagement Consultant will also work with a team of client services directors to evolve, enhance and future proof our approach to insight, advisory and consulting, acting as a mentor for junior members of the team looking to build their skills in this space.


The Main Responsibilities

  • Leading insight consultant on large and/or flagship programmes of work
  • Working with senior level decision makers within client organisations to align our work with their overall ambitions
  • Responsibility for designing creative research and advisory solutions
  • Supporting new and existing sales through inputting into proposals and approach design and presenting at pitches
  • Mentoring and training others on insight elements
  • Working with complex data sets to create compelling stories, aligning insights with client context and make valuable recommendations
  • Involved in both qualitative and quantitative research design, delivery and insights
  • Developing new approaches and solutions to support the achievement of the business objectives
  • Developing thought leadership and supporting ORC's content strategy
  • Speaking at ORC events and representing ORC as experts in the creation of winning workplaces


About You

  • We’re ideally looking for an engagement or consulting specialist with demonstrated experience, either agency or client side but if you’ve worked within a HR consulting or strategic research field and you have a passion for employee engagement we want to hear from you.
  • Experience working with quantitative data sources to understand and interpret issues, and turn results into stories and valuable recommendations is crucial, alongside the ability to analyse and interpret research data; including experience in interpreting statistical analysis outputs (e.g. Key Driver, Segmentation, Linkage)
  • Experience of presentation and workshop facilitation, including delivering to large audiences and senior leadership teams
  • Demonstrated experience of building meaningful relationship with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior decision makers is essential
