Role

ORC is seeking a Senior Director, Research Strategy for Cassandra (www.cassandra.co). This role is responsible for overseeing all strategic custom qualitative and quantitative research projects for Cassandra. Leads creative research design, strategic approach and innovative proposal development, including timing and pricing, and presents them to prospects and clients, working closely with both internal Cassandra team as well as ORC resources, and outside vendors. This role challenges other researchers within the team to identify creative and unique research strategies and leverage the latest technologies and platforms. This position also helps ideate new products and engaging methodologies to grow the slate of custom research product offerings. This role is responsible for developing and growing relationships with new and existing clients, working with sales team to drive custom research revenue goals. This position also guides and mentors the Senior Manager, Research, to bring the same level of innovation to the Cassandra Report, a leading syndicated study understanding youth culture and mindset. Responsibilities

  • Pitch, proposal writing to grow custom research business while building relationships with new clients
  • Build current client relationships with incremental research offerings
  • Bring in and implement innovative and up to date methodologies and research tools into the company and for clients
  • Monitor overall research P&L
  • Participate in internal collaboration initiatives (i.e. Cassandra Sessions, videos)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (typical study areas include marketing, marketing research, business, psychology, or social sciences)
  • 5-8 years work experience
  • Basic statistics
  • Innovative thinking around research and data collection to drive insights
  • Knowledge of emerging research techniques/technologies
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
