Account Manager

Our market-leading employee research team is growing fast, which has lead to this exciting opportunity becoming available. We are now looking to recruit an additional Account Manager to join our successful and friendly team and become a key player in our ongoing plans for growth and business development. Based at our offices in Shoreditch, we’ll be looking the successful candidate to get involved in business development, account management, marketing and sales strategy.


A little bit about our team…

The employee research team accounts for the majority of our UK business and currently consists of over 30 team members who are experts in project management, account management and insight. As a business, we manage the largest scale employee research projects in the UK in both the private and public sector. A key part of our success is our in house specialist teams who provide support to our clients in the areas of technology, advanced analysis and data processing. This is an exciting area of research which is growing in momentum, with recent government-backed steering groups which are driving awareness and interest in employee engagement becoming a critical business measure.


This role is a blend of account management and new business development. You will have full responsibility for leading on sales across several sectors, and will have a personal annual sales target to achieve. Our clients are typically senior HR and Internal Communications professionals, and we work with a range of organisations from SMEs to multi-national businesses. Other elements of the role include;

  • Managing existing client accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention
  • Generating new business leads through networking and working with our Telemarketer
  • Leading on the full sales process including writing convincing and creative proposals, raising quotations and delivering effective pitches
  • Generating marketing ideas and initiatives to drive new business leads
  • Presenting at ORC events
  • Developing strong relationships with the internal delivery teams to ensure client expectations are met successfully
  • Identifying new opportunities to improve our offer in the market


What we’re looking for

Personality, excellent communication skills and the ability to form strong client relationships are really fundamental to this role. We’d also say you need to be able to do the following;

  • Successful sales track record within a B2B, corporate or consultancy field
  • Educated to degree level
  • Driven and willing to learn new skills and sector knowledge
  • At least one year’s experience in a sales orientated role
  • Influence senior professionals through confidently demonstrating sector knowledge
  • Be customer focussed, and find creative but practical solutions to client issues
  • Work well under pressure through effective organisation
  • Demonstrate excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Understand costing models, have high commercial awareness and lead on negotiations with clients
  • Form strong relationships with colleagues and be a team player



In addition to a competitive base salary, you’ll have the opportunity to earn generous uncapped commission through achieving and exceeding your sales target, so the sky is the limit!
